Modest Proposal to fight Spam
|
OK, enough is enough. Maybe there aren't that many laws specifically attacking Spam. But between all the porn and wasted time and personal hassles and port scanning etc done by spammers, they must be doing plenty to be sued in court. If any class action lawyers are reading this, how about a Class Action Lawsuit?
Let's identify the top spammers, we'll definitely get help from plenty of spamcop people. Then let's start the largest class action lawsuit in the history of lawsuits ever. You'll probably get just about every American to testify for you. Let's pick em off, one at a time and sue them. Anyone who wants part of the lawsuit, add your comment here and say AYE!

The Enigma, 60 years later
|
Enigma Hero Relives Exploits 60 Years Later...
Excerpt:
David Balme was a 20-year-old sub-lieutenant in the Royal Navy in May 1941 when he led a boarding party down the conning tower of a German submarine south of Iceland and changed the course of World War II.
The prize at the bottom of three vertical ladders was the unbreakable German code machine Enigma and a set of code books that would finally enable the British to read enemy radio traffic and turn the tide of war in the Atlantic.
Now 82, Balme, who retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, still remembers vividly the details of the dangerous descent into the bowels of the crippled submarine but admits he had no idea how crucial his discovery would be.
"We didn't know what Enigma was. We thought it was a funny looking typewriter -- an interesting bit of kit," he told Reuters Friday.
"It was only when we got back to Scapa Flow (naval base) 10 days later that the senior intelligence officer came aboard and told me what we had got and how hard they had been looking for one."

Pistons beat Iverson & the 76'ers while Minnesota finally gets a goal
|
When I saw the first couple of games between the Pistons & the 76ers, I really felt that the Pistons would win the series, despite being the underdogs. Tonight they have done it. The game went into overtime, some would say needlessly, as the 76ers coach egged on the ref until the 76ers got a costly technical foul...
In the meantime in hockeyland, on a power play, Minnesotta finally broke through the iron net of Jiggy and Anaheim. But with a 3 game lead, it may be too late for Lemaire and the Wild. Impressive runs for both teams no matter what happens, though!
Update: While posting this Anaheim tied the game. Instead of getting tired and weary the deeper they go into the playoffs, Anaheim seems to get more vitality and energy. They will be tough to beat in the final.
