Clonaid Says Cloned Baby Is Alive in Israel

ABCNEWS.com : Cloned Baby Is Alive in Israel

Recently there was a big news story that made the news around the world talking about cloning that had already been done. I was out of the country and not familiar enough with the language to get everything but there was some guy dressed like an alien conducting the news conference. I'm not sure because of the language barrier but it looked like Journalism at its worst.

But now this news article from ABC News looks like a different group. If there isn't already a cloned baby, it's only a matter of time. What does this all mean to us practically speaking? I don't know.

Catch me if you can

The movie was a lot of fun, almost as much as the book. The author and subject of the book/movie, Frank W. Abagnale has a few comments.

Jewelry Crafter from FallingWater

The Statesman reports:

PITTSBURGH (AP)--Fans of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright can now wear a tiny piece of his masterpiece Fallingwater around their necks, on their wrists or dangling from their ears. The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, which owns a home that is one of the most famous examples of Wright's architecture, about 70 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, started to sell its Fallingwater Restoration Jewelry last summer and recently made the pieces available online.

Royal visitors to Asscher in Amsterdam

Royal guests visit Asscher

Twenty-five royal guests have visited the Royal Asscher Diamond Company in Amsterdam. The visit formed part of the festivities connected with the marriage of the Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Máxima Zorreguieta. The party included Queen Silvia of Sweden and her daughter Crown Princess Victoria, the Earl and Countess of Wessex (Prince Edward and his spouse Sophie Rhys-Jones of the United Kingdom), Prince Richard zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Princess Benedikte of Denmark. One distinguished visitor was Begum Inaara Aga Khan, spouse of Aga Khan. In addition to numerous German Princes and Princesses, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte and Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg were present. The Asscher family business is the only diamond company in the world with the designation "Royal".

Serena Williams and James Blake win champagne-coloured diamond-studded tennis balls

Serena Williams and James Blake defeat Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molik to win $50,000 diamond-studded tennis balls. Here's an excerpt of the story:

Williams, playing here for the first time, and Blake, who was called in as a substitute in 2000, both pronounced themselves converts to the cause after carting off a prize packet of $120,000 and a pair of champagne-coloured, diamond-studded tennis balls worth $50,000 apiece.

Wedding Ring Lost 17 Years Ago Found At Sewage Plant

Wedding Ring Lost 17 Years Ago Found At Sewage Plant

This is a cool story. A snippet:

A treatment operator at the Metropolitan District Commission's sewage treatment plant in Hartford found a one-carat diamond ring and another stone ring at the bottom of a wastewater drainage pool. The treatment operator found engravings on the inside of the ring that led him to Diane Kurtz of New Hartford, Conn. She lost the rings, including her wedding ring, in 1985.
