Andre Louw has accepted the position of independent, non-executive chairman of Diamond Core Resources Limited with effect from the next annual general meeting of shareholders. Louw, who graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1973 with an honours degree in geology and started his career as an exploration geologist at the Okiep Copper Company and BP Minerals obtaining an MBA in 1986, worked as a mining analyst at Sanlam from 1987 to 1991.
