An X-ray machine originally designed to detect stolen diamonds is being used in South Africa and the United States as a swift means of looking into the human body.
The device can take a full body scan in 13 seconds and releases lower doses of radiation than regular X-rays, according to its developers.
It was first designed to assist South Africa's diamond mining giant De Beers in its bid to curb diamond theft by employees at its operations.
