Hello all and thanks for the help in advanced! :-))
I have tries to update my nvidia GeForce4 Ti4400 with the new 5x.xx driver last week. Since then, I have had my computer crash when I was doing nothing but checking my yahoo mail, I can't play any games without the computer crashing and rebooting, and I tried to change the driver to the 45.23 and now it won't install at all. I am getting the following driver error "Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard nVidia GeForce Ti4400 An error occured during the installation on the device. The required section was not found in .inf"
Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Now I can't even install the driver from the CD-Rom the came with the computer. I can only work in 800X600 and this is not working at all. I have gone to the Windows website and they have nothing at all on the problem. nVidia has a mass of people with similer problems installing the 5x.xx driver, but I think that this may have to do with a Microsoft driver update the is preventing the nVidia .inf driver from installing.
Also, my Nforce sound is not working due to the same problem. I have a 6 speaker Creative sound system and as stated above, when trying to update the driver (using the Unified Detonator driver 5x.xx) now only my front 2 speakers work.
If anyone has any ideas as to what is going on or what to so in order to get the correct .inf information into the driver so that the video will work, plesae let me know. I am sure that I am not the only one having this problem.
Thanks for the help o_0
