Friedman's Inc faces Federal bias Suit

Black Enterprise reports: Jewelry Retailer Faces Federal Suit.

Excerpt:

One of the nation's largest jewelry retail chains, Savannah-based Friedman's Inc., is being challenged for alleged racial discrimination in their hiring and promoting of African Americans, and for fostering a hostile work environment. Yesterday, Attorneys Morris J. Baller and Thomas A. Warren of Goldstein, Demchak, Baller, Borgen & Dardarian filed a federal class-action suit in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt, Maryland, on behalf of former, present, and future employees and job applicants, then held a press conference about the case in Washington, D.C.

I, have also gone through the same ordeal as a past employee of Friedmans. I have tried to get some type of help when I was wrongfully terminated. If you can let me know if you can also help me, or let me know of someone in this area that can.

Thank you

I have a 9 page journal of the hell I went through at friedmans, I was an employee for 31/2
years. My job was swept under my feet, and so was my friends (because she became pregnant). I gave my job 100% and now I'm in a severe depression because of this company!!!!!!!! I need a good attorney to help me maybe in Atlanta Georgia or surrounding areas, that dont require alot of money upfront to help!!!!

SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME OLD SONG AND DANCE BY EVERYONE THAT HAS WORKED FOR THESE PEOPLE.IN THE YEAR 2000 DIVISION PRESIDENT IN RALEIGH,JACK STEELE & HIS BUDDY REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT EVERETT BLACK HERDED FROM STORE TO STORE THREATENING AND HARASSING EMPLOYEES,CREATING A HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT. RICK REVIS,ANOTHER HARASSER AND DISTRICT MANAGER WAS THERE AT THE TIME DOING THE SAME. HOWEVER,HE LIKED THE GIRLS TOO,SO HE STAYED AROUND A LITTLE LONGER. I WONDER WHERE THEY ALL ARE NOW?? I HEARD THEY ALL FINALLY GOT FIRED TO KEEP DOWN THE LAW SUITS. I WILL GLADLY HELP ANYBODY IN ANY WAY AGAINST THESE PEOPLE THAT DO NOT DESERVE TO OPERATE ONE MORE DAY.THE GOVERNMENT ALSO NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THEM AS THEY VIOLATE EVERY LABOR LAW EVER MADE.

Any company that is racist should go to trial. It's the 21st century, enough racism!
