Well, According to our calculations I feel this movie will be sort of uncontoness. It shall be a great movie just by havinbg the title Dumb And Dumber. Its sort of like John Adams son. He wasn't that great of a president but since his dad was a great president people felt that John Adams Jr was a good Man. This is how we feel Dumb And dumberer will be. The fact that these obnoxious, righteous mother's have the slightest boldness to attempt a prequel without Jeff Daniels or Jim Carrey is prepostrous. The sequel will hopefully be banned by any self-respecting Dumb and Dumber fan. I for one will decline in the future viewing of said film. Suck me sideways! All of you people are ragging on a movie that hasn't even come out yet. I was fortunate enough to be an extra in this one and, as possibly the biggest D&D fan, was very skeptical myself. I spent 3 days on the set with Harry and Lloyd as teenagers. Since then all my nightmares of putting the dumb and dumber name to shame have been relinquished. They are authentic! Like somebody posted before, it's prequel for crying out loud. They're in high school. It's not possible for Jim and Jeff to be in it(unless they show a high school reunion or something). But the guys who are playing them have done their homework. Have faith.

Give it a chance you. You haven't even seen any footage yet. Jim Carrey isnt in it because they couldn't foot the $20 mil per film he is asking now (the last movie didnt even cost $20 million to make). Also, if this movie does well enough and the franchise hasnt been bastardized too badly, you may get a Dumb and Dumber 3 with Jim and Jeff back in their original roles. So have a little faith, otherwise Dumb and Dumber is forever dead.

I saw a focus group screening of this movie. It was TERRIBLE!!! The ninja part was a tiny bit amusing. They're playing a game of tag with the guy who works in the 7-11 type place. One of them is the adopted son of the high school janitor and the other was homeschooled by his mom till high school. They meet and end up stopping the principal (Eugene Levy) from stealing money from the school. Predictable jokes.

I was reading this site and its funny because no one knows what they're talking about. People misspelling words, its they're not there. I dont know if this movie is going to be good or not. It was originally going to be directed by the South Park guys,Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They backed pot for some reason, and the Farrely I'm sure were approached to direct but I guess they wanted to do other things. Jeff Daniels wouldn't do onother one I've heard. There are certain classic comedies you should never have sequels to. There's Something About Mary, Blazing Saddles. Also, Jim Carrey doesn't like doing sequels, the second Ace Ventura was his first and last sequel he says. Jim Carrey has been approached to a sequel for The Mask also. Studios will use different actors and different directors to make money. There's a movie called Son of the Mask coming out. No Jim Carrey, and a different director I'd imagine. Does that mean it will be bad? Who knows? It might be bad, it might be okay. You never know. I doubt the movie will compare to the original, but what sequel/prequel really has? Maybe The Godfather Part II. Worst sequel ever? Grease 2. Another thing about this movie is it doesn't make sense. It takes place in 1986, the two are 17 years old 8 years later whe the first one takes place they're 25? That makes no sense. It should take place in '80 or '81, that would make them 30 or 31 which is a lot more believable. The studios don't care about what the fans want. Some of the fans say the movie is going to suck without even seeing it. Some might like it some might not. It's going to come out no matter what anyone thinks or says. Thats all I have to say.

Well, everyone is extremely upset about something that isn't even out yet. You are entitled to your opnions, but you might want to give it a chance. Last time I checked the origonal screen play was written by the Farrelly Brothers... How would you feel if everyone in Led Zeppelin was replaced and were striped from their name? This isn't the James Bond series, and you can't just change main characters, directors. If this cast and crew shit the bed on this Prequel im going be pissed. Hopefully the new people will do well enough that I can watch this movie withought to many parts where I shake my head in discust. Hopefully I won't need to be baked to enjoy this movie, but I will be just incase. Also, I'm not a fan of Dumb and Dumber due to the fact that I smoke, I loved the movie before I started up, and I'll love the movie untill I die.
